"They are the only ones who understand me. I am the only one who understands them. Four skinny trees with skinny necks and pointy elbows like mine. Four who do not belong here but are here. Four raggedy excuses planted by the city...
Their strength is their secret. They send ferocious roots beneath the ground. They grow up and they grow down and grab the earth between their hairy toes and bite the sky with violent teeth and never quit their anger. This is how they keep...
When I am too sad and too skinny to keep keeping, when I am a tiny thing against so many bricks, then it is I look at trees. When there is nothing left to look at on this street. Four who grew despite concrete. Four who reach and do not forget to reach. Four whose only reason is to be and be."

My approach:
My approach:
Like the Four Skinny Trees in Sandra Cisneros’ House on Mango Street, many of us grow in environments that don’t nurture us. Yet, we dig deep and remain resilient. These trees also symbolize the strength found in connection and being truly "seen." My therapy approach is rooted in this belief—we will work together to heal and understand your challenges. I value showing up for my clients with warmth, humor, and compassion, helping you rediscover your strengths and reconnect with your resilience.
As a therapist I see my role as a guide, a teacher, and facilitator--I support others toward greater health, wellbeing, and embodiment of their best self. I have personally benefited from many forms of healing throughout my life: traditional medicine, psychotherapy, acupuncture and massage, energy healing, cultural healing practices, and somatic therapies- these various forms of healing have brought me greater personal growth and healing, mind, body, and spirit. Together we will work to find a suitable path for you.
I am currently offering virtual sessions via a secure and confidential telehealth portal, accessible to adults in the State of California.
